Where have I been?
At this end of the term I think you can guess. As a teacher I feel like a farmer... working in the elements, planting and reaping, living by the regular pattern of the seasons. Soon, some morning when I'm not intending to get to school before the sun, I might dwell on this some more but for now I think you get the point.
We had some sad news yesterday. One of our year 9 boys committed suicide on Tuesday afternoon. While the district office and our leadership team have handled it really well, a lot of people have been deeply affected. I would appreciate your prayers for the boys family and friends, and our school community.
A life is so important. This lad made a mistake he can never take back. As difficult as things were for him, he was precious and I am sad that he will now only be 'remembered'. His larger than life presence, his humour, his great beam and the troubles that lead him to take his own life will never form part of the great tapestry that is a lifetime. If only he could have seen who he really was and could be.

Oh, that's terrible. I'll definitely pray for his family and those who knew and loved him.
Hope you're well! Blessings,
Sam
