Just don't let go of those helium balloons!

Make me eat my first Valentine rose if I'm wrong, but I've never been that attached to the day and don't think I ever will be. It's not that I don't like romance, but it's the unmanufactured, unexpected, 'little moments' that I want to share a part in. If my future man ever reads this post.... save your money honey! :)

Apparently they won't accept flower deliveries at some of the larger Catholic high schools in Adelaide on the 24th of Feb these day. They found out how many girls were sending themselves huge arrangements - the competition was that fierce, and the stigma of being overlooked too great for some to bear flowerless.

However, I acknowledge that for some it's an important opportunity. One of my year 12 Psych students was bouncing joyfully down the stairs to my lesson today with three shimmering heart-shaped helium balloon's when she got 'lift off'! They drifted up to the next floor where some year 10 boys pulled the curling ribbon apart and burst the balloons in 5 seconds flat. Half an hour later a concerned text message was sent on behalf of the nine of us. The poor girl came in all blotchy from the tears and those eyes were filling up periodically for at least an hour more. I guess we're all different, hey!?

HA - "safe your money, honey" - that was priceless! Thanks for making me laugh out loud.

But nevertheless I came over to wish you a happy Valentine's. You are appreciated in blogger-world!

I like the new look! Your photo at the top "pops" so nicely now. I found myself being annoyed that I felt sad not having a "Valentine". What to do?
